Dr. Alexander Abdurakhmanov

Dr. Alexander Abdurakhmanov is a board certified general and bariatric surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine, and completed his surgical residency at Maimonides Medical Center.

Dr. Abdurakhmanov is a graduate of a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. He uses a patient centered approach along with advanced surgical techniques to treat a variety of surgical problems. His most commonly performed procedures include laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic and robotic gastric bypass, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic and robotic hernia repair, as well as removal of lipomas and cysts. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
